Pool Remodeling and Resurfacing in California

Remodeling and resurfacing cover work on a pool that already exists: a new interior finish, replaced tile or coping, new equipment or a changed shape. Resurfacing is common as a pool ages, and a remodel is a chance to add features such as a spa or a new ledge. Many pool builders do this work.

A remodel can need a permit, and in California a permit for a remodeled pool or spa at a private single-family home requires at least two drowning-prevention safety features under Health and Safety Code section 115922. Ask who obtains the permit and which features are in the bid. The builders below state remodeling, renovation or resurfacing work on their own websites. Look for a written scope, the finish named in the bid and a warranty you can read before you sign.
